Thanoreth

Photo Information

Thanoreth was originally created as an NPC for a Larp I ran in 2019, a cruel, cursed sea-elf with the sole purpose of haunting the players. Putting her into water was the logical next step.
Her mask is quite fragile, made from Thibra and tooth-like mother-of-pearl beads. The surcoat is made of wool and silk, hand-embellished with white silk cords and glass beads to remind the players that despite her cruelty Thanoreth this still elven, like they themselves.

Memories of a Battlefield

Photo Information

A dramatic and quite rainy shoot from 2021. We love how the previous year’s reeds invoke the field of arrows and broken spears sticking from the ground and of course the dramatic clouds. For the costumes we combined the prototype of the Harpist robe with the elven armour, creating something that is a bit more regal than the usual elven armour kit.

The Early years of Travel

Photo Information

This shoot from late 2020 utilises the blue battle dress made for my Larp Character Elrian back in 2011 and it imagines the early days of travel from before I started playing her in 2009. The Harp and the sword were the most significant obejcts the character carried, tied into Elrian’s backstory.

Novemberking

Photo Information

The first concept shoot we did was late 2020. We made the crown from fallen appletree branches and otherwise combined existing costume piece. The Symbols are Quenya writing in the Sarati script, the precursor to Tengwar (and I will Update the description with their meaning as soon as I find my old notes.)
