• A Photo of the Masquerade

  Moritz Jendral took this lovely photo of our Group of Characters, with me right at the centre. It is the first one I have of the gown I started planning back in December. It’s mostly influenced by the Orlesian ball gowns featured in Dragon Age Inquisition. It also has an animal theme: A black Swan.

• Preparation for a Masquerade

  This month my partner and I attended a masquerade. In preparation for the ball we build our own masks. My mask was a Black Swan with silver details and lots of black feathers. The mask is made of Worbla, formed on a  gypsum cast of my head. It’s coloured with acrylic paint and décor composition…

• A Minstrel’s Dress

  And done! No one will ever notice all those glass beads on the skirt… The waistcoat alone took an eternity to make, but I am quite happy how it turned out.

• Warm Elven Robes

    Because it was really cold last summer I dug out this old winter robe I made years ago, but never had used. Afterwards I decided It could use a makeover. Nothing fancy, maybe I will add a few glass beads later.

• Battledress für Gwaloth

  Es hat sich ergeben das ich mit meiner Freundin Celefindel ein Tauschnähen mache, Sie näht mir ein Elbisches Nachtgewand und bekommt dafür von mir ein Battledress für ihre Noldo Gwaloth. Als Vorlage diente hierfür Thranduil aus der Hobbit Verfilmung. Der Stoff wird der selbe sein wie mein eigenes, nur werde ich ihn Gwaloths Farbkonzept entsprechend…
